Description
Kenny Plant & Civils Ltd are specialists at constructing new and upgrading existing watermain schemes. We have recently completed work on the upgrading of the watermain on the narrow streets of Abbey Street Loughrea. This contract involved upgrading 350 metres of existing cast iron watermain with 150mm Ductile Iron watermains. It involved over 60 house connection and a number of junctions with other existing mains.
This project required huge co-operation with Galway County Council Water Services, Ryan Hanley Consulting Engineers, local residents and business to ensure that minimum disturbance was caused.
Other watermain contracts we have successfully carried out include:
- 2.2 kilometres of Watermain including house connections in Meelick, Co. Galway
- Diversion of 500mm Ductile iron watermain as part of M6 Motorway
- Diversion of 300mm HDPE watermain as part of M6 Motorway
- Connections to Agricultural lands, dwelling houses and businesses from council and group water schemes
