Description

In 2011 and 2012 we were awarded 2 separate contracts of removing sediment from 3 No. lakes in Naas town. This involved the following:

• De-fishing the lakes
• Draining the lakes
• Constructing diversion channels for the stream which filled the lakes
• Assisting the sediment to dry before transporting the sediment to a licenced landfill
• Construct a silt trap at the inlet and a sluice gate to control the flow

We co-operated well with Naas Town Council and Inland fisheries so that these projects were carried out with minimal disturbance to the lake flora and fauna and also minimum disturbance to the locals who used the amenity for fishing, walks and relaxing.
