Description

This is 900-meter pedestrian and cycling route in Rahoon/ Knocknacarra - Galway City, serving a community of over 20,000 people. This safe, green corridor connects Primary and Secondary schools, enhancing public safety and promotes outdoor activities, fostering a healthier and more connected community. The project reflects our commitment to sustainable urban development and improving the quality of life for local residents
 
Works Involved the following:

  • Site Preparation - Clear area where pedestrian route will be installed and secure site by fencing off area and setting up diversion route for Pedestrians and cyclists
  • Excavation and removal of existing surface where the pedestrian and cycle route will be installed
  • Kerbing works - Set out kerbing works, clear the area, install base course material and finally install kerbing
  • Paving and surfacing works
  • Drainage and ducting - Survey and Design, excavate the area, install ducting and drainage pipes as required for the project and backfill
  • Road signage and Line Marking - road signage and marking to Engineer Spec throughout
  • Installation of Street Furniture including signs, bollards, lighting, ESB pillars etc
  • Landscaping and planting to design requirements
